Our premium notebooks are probably unique in the world in terms of design and functionality. Lanybook® designs start in our studio in Germany. Here, our experts produce precise, CI-compliant designs. Lanybook® notebooks are then produced in our factory in Germany. Experienced bookbinders craft our premium notebooks there, by hand, exactly according to the designs. At Lanybook®, we bring together traditional bookbinding skills with advanced digital technology to create a modern notebook with an extraordinary look and feel: the best notebook in the world.Multiple awards

Our notebooks are known for their durability – even with intensive use. This is because of the high-end material we use and our superior bookbinding technique. You can feel this quality every time you pick up a Lanybook® notebook.The Lanybook® paper
At the heart of each notebook lies 192 sheets of premium paper. We apply the same rigorous quality standards inside each Lanybook®, as those imposed for the cover and accessories. Lanybook® owes its quality to the fine fibres of the blue eucalyptus tree, whose wood is the source of our paper. This sustainably produced paper has superior ink receptivity and adhesion, which makes it optimal for our Lanybook® users.
Lies perfectly flat
Our traditional thread stitching technique provides durability while allowing the book to lie completely flat. Each notebook has a rounded spine, which is honed during the manufacturing process using infrared beams. Since our notebooks lie perfectly flat, they naturally don’t immediately close again after opening. This means you can relax and focus on your inspiration and ideas.

The success of Lanybook® is due to the technical innovations found in each notebook. No other brand’s inventions have so frequently revolutionized the notebook industry and started so many new trends. Over the years, we’ve registered several patents for our innovations – all of which are unique to Lanybook®.Lifetime service
We provide all our Lanybook® owners with lifelong support. Additionally, to simplify this service, you’ll receive a personal service card on which your particular order data is stored. This means you can reorder your individual notebook with exactly the same specifications any time.Lanyband® – the durable fastening band
Our fastening band is wider and thicker than those of other notebook manufacturers. We craft the Lanyband® using a special weaving technique that makes it highly resilient. We combine three layers of finest polyester yarn with a natural rubber core to guarantee its excellent elasticity. This secures that, unlike other notebooks, our elastic fastener does not wear out. The Lanyband® stays in great condition even after several years of intensive use, without becoming slack or frayed.
Lanyclip® – the patented fastening system
The fastening system of the Lanyband®, the Lanyclip®, is an innovative, patented design. The Lanyclip® holds the book cover, book block and any other inserted sheets altogether securely.
Lanysign® – a sign of authenticity
At the final stage of the manufacturing process, every Lanybook® is hallmarked with a small metal emblem: this Lanysign® means you’re holding a genuine Lanybook® of the highest quality.
Responsibility
FSC-approved paper – sustainable quality
We use quality paper approved by the Forest Stewardship Council for our premium notebooks. Additionally, we do not use environmentally harmful substances in the production process. Our paper comes from renewable sources, in particular, the eucalyptus forests of Portugal. Here, the trees are planted specially for the purpose of making paper. These fast-growing trees are good at storing carbon dioxide and contribute to reducing the greenhouse effect. In addition, the trees use water resources extremely efficiently, which means they can produce more fibres with the same amount of water than other tree species. By using these raw material, we support the management of 120,000 hectares of forest in Portugal, and a nursery supporting reforestation in the country that is one of the largest in Europe.
Climate-neutral production and solar power
We aim for a neutral environmental footprint. To support climate-neutral production, we carried out a comprehensive CO2 footprint analysis and identified the activities that produce the most emissions. On that basis, we were able to significantly reduce CO2 emissions in our production process. In addition, we use environmentally friendly solar energy at our main office in Germany.PET recycling
The fastening clips on each Lanybook® and the Pen Loop fasteners are made of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET). By recycling plastic bottles into Lanyclip®s, fewer raw material, like petroleum, will be consumed. This also reduces greenhouse gas emissions and the environmental pollution caused by plastic waste. Recycling PET uses around half as much energy compared to manufacturing new plastic. PET is an environmentally friendly recyclable material that can be further processed into high-quality products – Lanyclip®s, for example.Wanted: Lanybook® trading partners
